A few days ago. I was in the car when I came across this billboard for Bay Alarm. I laughed immediately.
After seeing this ad, I'm not going to lie, it actually made me think. Now I'm sure Bay Alarm wasn't trying to be deep or anything. But I would definetly say that they successfully broke through the clutter.
All of the aspects of this ad relate to Bay Alarm. The two colors of the background, red and black, tie back to the colors of the company. We see white letters on a dark red background which makes the words stand out. Lastly on the bottom right corner is the Bay Alarm logo, because what is an ad without the companies logo?
This ad uses the "need to feel safe", because I mean if the burglars are going to work.. then you need Bay Alarm.
This ad is also a very simple one. The billboard is not busy and it gets to the point. For this reason it connects to advertising technique of "plain folks", that Bay Alarm is for any average American.
All of the parts of this ad are meant to catch the consumers attention and make them remember Bay Alarm. It definitely worked.
